fire generator circuit on transistor 2sc2078

With the help of this high-frequency generator, it is possible to set fire to paper or melt small pieces of metal from the fire of an antenna or one wire. The generator is assembled on a 2sc2078 transistor. Such a transistor is used in radio stations in the output stage of the transmitter.

The most important part of the generator is its transformer. The inner diameter of the frame is 22 mm. Wind the L3 coil on the frame, it contains 40 turns of wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm. One coil output will be the antenna, and wind the L2 coil on the other, which contains 50 turns of wire 0.7 mm in diameter. Wind this coil directly on the terminal of the L3 coil, which should be connected to the base of the transistor.

Coil L1 contains 10 turns of wire 0.8mm in diameter. The inner diameter of the coil is 10mm, although these parameters are not so important, you can wind 9 turns, nothing bad will happen. The transistor is installed on a radiator, it will heat up.

A 180pF capacitor must be high-voltage, otherwise it will get very hot.

Setup. When everything is assembled, apply power to about 15-20 volts and check if there is generation. This can be checked with a radio or a fluorescent lamp by bringing the lamp to the coil. If there is no generation, swap the leads of the L2 coil.If the lamp near the transformer shines, then everything is OK. Next, increase the voltage to 25-28 volts and touch the antenna with a metal screwdriver. The antenna is the output of the L3 coil, about 60-120mm long. The flame should be about 5-7mm long from the antenna. If there is no flame, reduce or lengthen the antenna.

Now you can conduct experiments. Near the transformer, lamps in which there is gas will shine.

From the flame, you can ignite paper or small pieces of metal, just do not hold this metal with your fingers, high-frequency current can leave a burn.
