High voltage generator on a flyback transformer

With this high voltage generator, you can light fluorescent lamps and conduct experiments with high voltage.In this article, I will present two oscillator circuits, one with a bipolar transistor and the other with a mosfet. The basis of the generator is a flyback transformer, which can be obtained from an old TV or monitor

The power of the spark will depend on the transformer, the supply voltage and the transistor used. Wind 5 + 5 turns of wire around the ferrite core of the transformer. Install the transistor on the radiator. When the generator is assembled, find the output from the transformer with which there will be the most powerful spark.

Observe safety precautions, high voltage!With a 2sa1943 transistor, when powered at 4 V, the current consumption will be about 1.7Aю.With 8V supply, the spark will be about 30mm

You can use the IRF3205 transistor. When powered by 5 volts, the current consumed will be about 8 A, the spark will be very powerful!
