How to transmit energy and sound over one wire

In 1892, Nikola Tesla managed to obtain a patent for an invention where the transmission of energy was by a single wire.The whole point is that two wires are usually used for transmission, but here there is only one, thereby saving on metal.There is also such a device called “Avramenko fork”, there is the same essence.I decided to check whether it is possible to transmit energy over one wire and also transmit sound over one wire.

To do this, I assembled a high-frequency generator on one kt805a transistor.With a power supply of 12 Volts, there will be a high-frequency current at the output of the RF transformer, which will go along one wire to the receiver.The receiver is made on two diodes loaded on the speaker.

The transformer is wound on a choke from an economy lamp.I left the throttle winding and wound 6+6 turns of 0.25 mm diameter wire on top of it.The transistor heats up a little, but I installed it on the radiator.The device must be grounded to the central heating battery, otherwise high-frequency currents will not go into the transmitting wire, but will “walk” along the power wires and other parts of the device, and the transistor will also be very warm.When grounded, the transistor on the radiator is barely warm and all the generator power goes into the wire.I modulate the generator with sound from the player through a capacitor 4.7 UF connected to the base of the transistor.It should be borne in mind that powerful RF currents can disable sensitive electronics that are used as a sound source.I use an old player, it is less sensitive to such currents.

The device is assembled and everything is assembled.Now I unwind the whole wire with a length of 15 meters and go out to the entrance to check.

As you can see, the lamp from high-frequency energy shines in your hands from touching one wire output.Now I connect the receiver and the sound is heard from the speaker, although it is quiet, because there is no low-frequency amplifier

The device works, but this method also has a disadvantage.Since the RF current passes through the wire, part of the RF energy will be radiated by the wire, which reduces the efficiency of this method.Well, besides, the sound can be heard on the radio.
