TDA2614.6W audio amplifier chip

This chip is a mono hi-fi low-frequency amplifier with an output power of 6W with a unipolar power supply of 24 volts and a harmonic distortion coefficient of 0.5%.It also provides power to the chip and a bipolar power source. The chip is installed on the radiator to remove heat from the housing, the pins are counted from left to right.Such a chip can be found on the boards of old televisions with a kinescope.

Advantages of the chip: when switching on and off, there are no clicks in the sound, there are few external elements (strapping) for connection, protection against short circuit and overheating.

Here are the main characteristics of unipolar power supply:

  • The supply voltage is unipolar 15-45 V
    Output power 6.5W at 0.5 harmonics%
With harmonics of 10%, the output power for a load with a resistance of 4 ohms is 14W
Suppression of pulsations of the power supply at the level of 45dB
    Input impedance 14-26 kOhm
Disables the non-inverting input when the power supply is below 10V
Mute when a signal is sent to pin 2
    Dissipated power 15W
Application temperature from -25 to +150C

As you can see, only five parts are required to connect the chip.A capacitor with a resistor at the output is a Boucher-tsobel chain
