24c08 flash eeprom

The 24c08 microcircuit is a non-volatile memory microcircuit that can be repeatedly electrically reprogrammed and data exchange occurs via the I2C serial interface. The reprogramming cycles of the microcircuit reach up to 1-4 million and the information in the microcircuit is stored for up to 100-200 or more years (values vary from different manufacturers). The microcircuit is available both in a DIP8 package and for surface mounting.

The microcircuit is very popular in household appliances, especially in kinescope TVs. There it is located next to the television processor and all the settings that the user sets are recorded in it, these are volume settings, channels, etc. All this information is stored in this particular microcircuit. This memory many manufacturers have produced or are producing, for this reason it is necessary to look at the datasheet of the exact manufacturer indicated on the microcircuit case.

  • Memory capacity 8K
  • maximum clock frequency up to 400 kHz at 5 Volts and 100 kHz at 2.7 Volts supply
  • i2c interface
  • supply voltage up to 5.5V
  • EEPROM memory type
  • Current consumption in standby mode 10 μA in operating mode 1 mA
Operating temperature range from -40 to +85 degrees
